Bill Schoonover’s 24 Hour Salad

Ingredients

  1. 1 head of lettuce, broken up
  2. 1/2 cup spring onions, chopped
  3. 1/2 cup chopped celery
  4. 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  5. 1 pkg frozen peas
  6. 2 cup mayonnaise
  7. 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  8. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  10. 1 lb bacon, crisp and broken up
  11. 5 hard boiled eggs, mashed
  12. 2 tomatoes, cut in wedges

Preparation method

  1. Break lettuce in the bottom of a large bowl. Add the next 3 ingredients. Spread frozen peas over the top of all.
  2. Seal with mayonnaise. Sprinkle parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt over the top.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before serving, garnish with bacon, eggs, and tomato wedges.
