Fancy Feast Chicken
Ingredients
- 6 oz Swiss cheese
- 1/4 lb mushrooms
- 2 lb boneless skinless chicken – breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c dry white wine
- 2 c herbed stuffing mix
- 8 T butter or margarine
Preparation method
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice cheese and mushrooms. Place chicken in a lightly greased 9X13X2-inch baking dish.
- Top each piece with a slice of swiss cheese and arrange mushrooms over chicken and cheese.
- Mix soup and wine and pour over chicken. Sprinkle with stuffing mix. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the stuffing mix.
- Bake 45-50 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
Note: This dish is easy enough for a beginner to make with the taste of a gourmet touch! This has been my husband’s favorite the first time I made it when we were dating and he requests it often, even when we are not having company over!
