Fancy Feast Chicken

Ingredients

  1. 6 oz Swiss cheese
  2. 1/4 lb mushrooms
  3. 2 lb boneless skinless chicken – breasts
  4. 1    can cream of chicken soup
  5. 1/2 c  dry white wine
  6. 2 c  herbed stuffing mix
  7. 8 T  butter or margarine

Preparation method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice cheese and mushrooms. Place chicken in a lightly greased 9X13X2-inch baking dish.
  2. Top each piece with a slice of swiss cheese and arrange mushrooms over chicken and cheese.
  3. Mix soup and wine and pour over chicken. Sprinkle with stuffing mix. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the stuffing mix.
  4. Bake 45-50 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Note: This dish is easy enough for a beginner to make with the taste of a gourmet touch! This has been my husband’s favorite the first time I made it when we were dating and he requests it often, even when we are not having company over!
