Kapuska & Kielbasa

Ingredients

  1. 2 lb sauerkraut
  2. 1 water
  3. 1 pinch of sugar
  4. 1 bay leaf (optional)
  5. 1 12 oz can of beer (optional)
  6. 3 to 4 strips of bacon (optional)

Preparation method

  1. Kapuska (Sauerkraut) and Kielbasa Simmer sauerkraut, sugar, and optional ingredients with kielbasa (it doesn’t say how much) for about 20 minutes.
  2. Some fresh cabbage may be added in place of sauerkraut. But usually not more than 1/3 the amount of sauerkraut being used.
