Saffron Crème Eggs

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups heavy cream
  2. 1/8 teaspoon saffron
  3. 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  4. 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  5. 1/4 cup butter (sweet cream)
  6. 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  7. 1/4 cup pecans
  8. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  9. 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  10. 12 eggs
  11. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation method

  1. Heat cream and butter to make a base sauce and add cheese. Let thicken.
  2. Add seasonings, blend, then place eggs gently into sauce. Cook until desired doneness.
  • Yields: 6 to 12 servings
